Meet your local team
Our cricket classes for toddlers and preschoolers in Bristol are run by Subhan Razaq.
Subhan is a Software Engineer by day and a proud dad to his cricket-mad 2-year-old son, Zayyan.
His own love of cricket was sparked by his father when he was just five years old. From playing for his local youth club, Subhan’s talent quickly got noticed – he was selected to play for Gloucestershire County’s Under-11s at just nine years old, and went on to represent every youth level through to 18. Today, he’s the captain of his local cricket club in Bristol and continues to play competitive cricket.
Sport runs through Subhan’s veins: when he’s not on the cricket pitch, he enjoys padel, boxing, martial arts, and football. He’s also a dedicated youth cricket coach, helping train the next generation at his club and leading sessions for the All Stars programme.
When Subhan started looking for ways to develop his son’s skills from a young age, he came across Cricket tots – and the idea instantly clicked. “I knew right away this was something special,” he says. “I’m passionate about helping children fall in love with cricket from an early age, just like my dad did with me. Cricket tots fits perfectly with my personal goals – not only for my own son but for children all over Bristol.”
He believes the toddler and preschool years are the perfect time to introduce little ones to the fun and fundamentals of cricket, and is excited to fill a gap in Bristol for families looking for cricket-related activities for this age group.
